The William Shakespeare Postcards Collection

Shakespeare was born in Stratford-upon-Avon in 1564. He married Anne Hathaway and later moved to London where many of his finest plays were written for the Globe Playhouse. The poet, playwright and actor is widely regarded as the greatest writer in the English language. He returned to Stratford a wealthy man and died there in 1616. The series of postcards illustrate his life, five of his most popular plays, and examples of the many flower references that appear in his writings.
